What this task is
You listen to (or watch) a lecture of up to 90 seconds, then retell it in your own words in 40 seconds. Take quick keyword notes while listening.
How to score well
- Note 4–6 keywords as you listen — names, numbers, the main point, one example.
- Use a template to structure your 40 seconds.
- Include the main idea plus at least two supporting details for full content marks.
- Keep a steady, fluent pace — don't trail off at the end.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Saying too little (aim to use most of the 40 seconds)
